Even before I became a massage therapist I was learning tools to better recovery from life and running. Somethings I even learned from experimentation or on instinct. All you need are a few tools, many of which you carry around with you all of the time. Then start rubbing those sore spots or tight areas, stretch them out, or push them away.
Tools you have: Elbows, forearms, hands, knuckles, fingers, and heels
Tools you may want: Tennis balls (2), lacrosse balls (2), golf ball, foam roller, massage stick
Areas to avoid: Bony surfaces, eyeballs, where you feel a pulse
Where you can take care of yourself: The world is your oyster!
