It is well known in the coaching world that if a stimulus is provided the athlete is going to adapt. Eventually. And how long it will take to adapt is measurable. For track work it is about four weeks and for road work it is about six weeks. That means that that first track session you did on the 1st (and the 8th, 15th, and 22nd) probably won’t be observable in your training until the end of the month. So keep in mind, the results of a workout you just did is due to your fitness you have accumulated over weeks, months, and years, not what you did last week.
